Air Selection Line Up:

Connection

Director – Jan Zurek

A highline project organized by passionate woman all around the globe.

BuildingBridges

Director – Johannes Olszewski

High above the sacred Navajo land of Monument Valley, two hot air balloons float, circling each other as if in a dance. One carries the German flag, the other that of the United States. A closer look reveals that the balloons are not only tethered together, but that a person is walking on this thin, connecting line. This is the sight that the protagonist of the short film #buildingbridges beholds, as he steps out of his humble Utah home and looks up at the sky. An old and lonely man, he finds his own courage through the actions of these strangers. This balancing act in movie form by the young creative agency One Inch Dreams was commissioned by the German Embassy as a tribute to German-American friendship.

In October 2018 the production company One Inch Dreams captured unique pictures in Americas wild west. Those key visuals for the campaign “Wunderbar together“ of the German year in the US are the groundation of three movies that got finished after one and a half years of work. The production of the films has been characterized by difficult circumstances and extraordinary challenges. On a knife-edge was also the balance act of extreme sports athlete Niklas Winter who kept it together during this symbolic slackline crossing.

PATHFINDER – Life Beyond Fear

Directors – Adam Rubin & Dan Lior

Pathfinder is a tale about the human spirit.
The film follows six world-class slackliners (Highliners) on a mission deep into the Norwegian mountains to attempt something that’s never been seen before: Walking a thin line, elevated in the vastness between two colossal cliffs, illuminated only by the mystical northern lights.

The yearning that drives adventurers and explorers to climb the highest peaks, sail endless oceans, and cross vast deserts in the name of progress, is the same passion that drives these slack-liners to attempt what has still been unclaimed.

Through the extreme conditions and endless challenges, we learn about their elemental desire to explore the limits of humankind.

Spellbound

Director – Richard Sidey

Wingsuit BASE jumping is often presented as a thrill seeking adrenaline rush. Spellbound takes us deeper into the more contemplative aspects of jumping, as David Walden and friends venture into the mountains around his home in New Zealand.

Beautiful scenery and hypnotic cinematography eject us from our daily lives into a world of air, earth and flight.

The KFC

Director – Richard Sidey

Five Kiwi pilots take on a paragliding adventure in Tanzania, with the ultimate aim to fly from the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro.

FLY SPITI

Director – Benoit Delfosse

Two of the most experienced paragliding pilots engage in exploration of the Spiti Valley in the Indian Himalayas. Thomas de Dorlodot – multiple world record holder – leads Horacio Llorens – six times aerobatic world champion – to find out why almost nobody tried to fly in this place where, according to Rudyard Kipling, gods live. Mountains skim skies with their 6500 meter high glaciated peaks. Arid, dry and rocky landscapes produce violent aerial conditions and their remoteness makes oxygen supplies impossible.
Despite risks the athletes take us on an exhilarating scenic discovery of this unique valley and the sky beyond.
