The Balla Quarry Blast Hill Race is part of Lochaber Athletic Club’s Winter League Series. The race starts and finishes at Ballachuillish Quarry and is 6km with 400m of ascent. Expect a mixture of hard packed trails, open hill and boggy rough ground. No prior hill racing needed and the course is fully marked. Good grip recommended and please bring full body cover along in case it is needed on the day (waterproof jacket with hood, waterproof trousers, gloves and hat/buff).
