Come and join Cameron McNeish, Gerry McPartlin and Laurie Skuodas in discussion and tribute to the amazing and much missed David “Heavy” Whalley.
Heavy was a much loved Ambassador of the Festival and supported us throughout his tenure. There will be a discussion panel and a story fest, led by Jonathan Hart as well as some precious footage of this great man. The panel will include:
Cameron McNeish, author, TV presenter and longtime friend of Heavy’s

Stu McInture, Team Leader / Training Officer for SARDA Scotland, a Member of the Assynt MRT and ex RAF Kinloss MR Deputy Team Leader.
Laurie Skuodas, 30 year veteran of the RAF Mountain Rescue, friend and golf buddy of Heavy
Alongside the opportunity to be at his festival book launch where his book – “A Heavy Affair with the Mountains” can be purchased after the event. All proceed from the book will be donated to Scottish Mountain Rescue.
We look forward to seeing you there.
